Our place is over at F 49 in Seelampur, specifically in the Khajoor Wala Muhalla. If you know the neighborhood, you know it’s a tight-knit spot with a lot of people working hard. Irfan Garment Private Ltd. is just our way of making a living in the clothing trade. We have rows of sewing machines and there’s always someone cutting fabric on the big tables. It’s noisy because of the motors humming, but it’s a good kind of noise. We make all sorts of garments. Some days we’re doing shirts, other days it might be something else depending on what the orders are. The Khajoor Wala Muhalla area is always full of life, and our workers mostly live nearby, so they just walk in. We don't spend money on fancy decorations or anything. We’d rather just have good machines that don't break down every five minutes. Sometimes the power goes out, which is a pain, but we just wait it out and get back to work. We’ve been in Seelampur for a long time, so we know the people around here well. Dealing with fabric suppliers and getting the right thread takes up a lot of my time. It’s a lot of physical work, lifting heavy rolls of cloth and moving boxes around. But at the end of the day, seeing the finished clothes piled up makes it feel okay. We just keep our heads down and work.
