School Shop

If you are looking for the School Shop, we are in the Chetna building over in IP Extension. It’s a pretty easy place to find once you are in the neighborhood. We’ve been here for a good while, serving the families nearby. The shop is usually full of notebooks, pens, and all the things students need. It gets really crowded right before a new term starts. Parents are rushing in and kids are looking at the different bags and pencil cases. Most of the time, it’s just a steady stream of people coming in for one or two things. We have stacks of paper and boxes of supplies tucked into every corner. It’s not a huge space, so we have to be smart about where we put everything. Sometimes it feels like we are living in a maze of stationery. We know a lot of the local kids as they grow up and move from primary school to high school. It’s a nice feeling to be part of the community like that. We don't do anything fancy with the store layout. It’s just shelves and counters. We keep things simple and honest. Sometimes the bell on the door doesn't stop ringing all afternoon. We just take it one customer at a time. It’s a bit dusty with all the paper around, but it’s a good place to spend the day. IP Extension is a busy area and we fit right in. We close up when the sun goes down and start again the next morning.
