We’ve been tucked away here on 9th Street in Sowrashtra Nagar for a while now. Most people in Choolaimedu probably walk past our building without thinking much about it, which is fine by us. It’s a busy little corner of Chennai, and there is always plenty to do. Our office isn’t anything fancy, just a place where we keep our tools and handle the paperwork for the lifts around the city. Most mornings, the guys are out early before the sun gets too hot. Dealing with the humidity here is just part of the job. We spend a lot of time on the road or stuck at sites making sure things are running okay. It’s not glamorous work, but it keeps us busy from Monday to Saturday. Sometimes the traffic in this part of town gets really bad, so we try to plan our routes to avoid the worst of it. We have a small crew here, and everyone knows what they’re supposed to do. There is always a lot of chatter in the office about which lift is acting up or where the next part needs to go. We drink a lot of tea while we sort out the schedules. It’s a straightforward setup. We don't have big meetings or anything like that. We just show up, see what needs fixing, and get it done. It’s how things go here for us.
