Satish Kumar Co. is located on the first floor in Sadar Bazar, right in Gali Bahuji. If you have ever been to Sadar Bazar, you know how crowded it gets with people and carts everywhere. Our building, Katra Lekh Ram, is an old one and the stairs are a bit steep. We have been operating from this same spot for a long time now. The office is full of old ledgers and boxes stacked almost to the ceiling. It gets very loud outside with the shouting of the traders and the horns of the rickshaws, but we are used to it by now. We usually start our day early before the narrow lanes get too packed to move. It is a busy atmosphere and there is never a dull moment. Sometimes the electricity goes out and we just sit by the window to get some light. We do our work, talk to the people who come in, and handle the paperwork as it comes. Gali Bahuji is a place with a lot of history and you can feel it in the walls of the Katra. We don't go in for anything fancy or modern, we just like to keep things the way they have always been. It is a practical way to run a business in the heart of the market. People know where to find us if they need anything. We just keep working through the day until the sun goes down.
