Over at C 152 in Sarvodaya Enclave, we run Shoetech. It’s not a huge setup, just a decent-sized space where we handle footwear stuff. Living and working in this part of town means we see a lot of the same faces coming through. The shop isn't anything special to look at from the outside, but it serves its purpose. We spend most of our hours looking at different types of shoes, figuring out how they’re put together or what needs fixing. It gets a bit cluttered sometimes with all the tools and scraps lying around on the benches. We don't go in for big advertisements or flashy signs. Most of our work comes from people just knowing we are here in the enclave. Some days are slow and we just sit around drinking tea, while other days everyone seems to show up at once with something they need. It’s just me and a couple of others keeping the place going. We try to keep things simple and honest. If a shoe can’t be saved, we tell you. If it can, we get to work. The lighting inside isn't the best, but we know where everything is. Being in Sarvodaya Enclave is nice because it’s a familiar neighborhood. We’ve been at this address for a while and have no plans to move. It’s a steady kind of life, working with our hands and making sure people have decent shoes to walk in.
