Anand Parbat is a hilly kind of place and we are on the first floor of PP 32. Getting up here can be a bit of a climb if you are carrying bags. The area is very industrial and the air always smells like metal or grease. We have a lot of people coming in and out all day. Our office is where the schedules get made and the staff checks in. It is pretty basic inside. Just a couple of rooms with fans that hum all day long. We have a lot of cupboards for the equipment and uniforms. The first floor gets a bit of a breeze if the back window is open. We usually start quite early, around eight, to beat the worst of the heat. The tea lady comes by twice a day and that is when everyone stops for a second. It is a hardworking atmosphere. You won't find any fancy carpets or soft chairs here. Just wooden desks and stools. We spend a lot of time on the phone coordinating things. Outside PP 32, there are trucks always loading or unloading something. It can be quite loud when the factories nearby are at full speed. We’ve been in this spot for a long time now and know most of the other shop owners on this street. It is just a regular workplace for us.
