We deal with tarpaulins, or tripal as most people here call them. Since there are so many transporters around, someone is always needing a new cover for their truck or a repair on an old one. Our shop is full of heavy rolls of fabric and the smell of industrial materials. It’s a very practical business. We don't have any air conditioning or comfortable chairs for lounging. People come in, tell us the size they need, and we get to work cutting and stitching. It’s a lot of manual effort and the material can be quite heavy to move around. We see drivers from all over the country passing through this transport hub. We hear a lot of stories about the roads while we work. The area is dusty and can get very muddy when it rains, but that’s just the nature of a transport nagar. We aren't trying to be anything other than a reliable place for tripals. We’ve been here long enough that most of the regulars know us by name. It’s a simple trade, but it keeps the trucks moving and the goods dry, and that’s good enough for us.
