Pooja Enterprises

Getting to Pooja Enterprises can be a bit of a trick if you aren't used to Sangam Vihar. We are tucked away in I Block, Gali Number 22. The house number is 1880, right near MCD Road Number K 19. It’s a tight street, the kind where you have to move your bike if a rickshaw wants to get past. We’ve been here for years, through the hot summers and the monsoon rains. The shop is always a bit full of stuff, and we probably should organize it better, but we always find what a customer is asking for. It’s a family-run thing. My wife handles some of the books and I do the rest. We know the neighbors well, and they know us. You won't find any slick salespeople here. We just tell you what we have and what it costs. We aren't trying to grow into a giant corporation. We’re happy just serving the people around this part of Sangam Vihar. Sometimes the electricity goes out and we sit outside on plastic chairs until it comes back. It’s a noisy, lively place to work. There’s always the sound of children playing in the street or someone selling vegetables nearby. We keep the shop open seven days a week because that’s what works for people here. It’s just a regular local business doing its best.
