Saini Micro Electronics

We have been here at 624 on the first floor of Old Lajpat Rai Market for a good while now. It is a crowded spot, like most places around here, but you get used to the noise and the people pushing past on the stairs. Most days involve opening up the shutters and going through boxes of electronics that came in the night before. It is dusty work, mostly. We spend a lot of time looking at tiny parts under the light. Sometimes people come in with a specific piece they need for a repair, and we have to dig through the back shelves to find it. It isn't a fancy office. There are wires hanging and piles of components everywhere, but we know where everything is kept. The market gets very hot in the summer, so we keep the fan going all day long. Dealing with the couriers and the delivery guys takes up most of the morning. It is just the way things go here. We don't have a big team, just a few of us making sure the orders are packed right and sent out. It gets chaotic on Saturdays when everyone shows up at once. You lose track of time when you are counting resistors or checking boards. It is honest work and keeps us busy from morning until the market finally shuts down for the day. We’ve seen many shops change hands around us, but we stay right here in our corner.
