About Sagar Glass Works – Building & Construction Material in Delhi
It is usually pretty loud here at 8A in Sukh Lal Market because of the glass cutting machines. If you walk into Sagar Glass Works, you’ll see crates of mirrors and window panes stacked against the walls. We have been in this part of Pitampura for a good while, and the neighborhood has changed a lot around us. Handling glass is a tricky job because one slip and everything is ruined. My clothes always have little bits of glass dust on them that never really comes out in the wash. We spend most of our time measuring things out and making sure the edges are smooth so nobody gets cut. Sometimes a customer brings in a frame and wants a mirror fitted right then, and we try to get it done while they wait, though it depends on how many orders are already piled up. The market gets crowded in the afternoons, so getting the big sheets of glass off the trucks is always a bit of a headache with all the rickshaws blocking the lane. We don't do anything fancy here, just basic glass work for homes and shops nearby. It’s mostly just us working with our hands and hoping the power doesn’t go out in the middle of a cut. People know us as the place near the corner that’s been doing this forever. We just keep our heads down and try to get the orders out the door and keep the glass from breaking.
