The Amoeba Events

The Amoeba Events is run out of B4/38 in Safdarjung Enclave. It’s a residential neighborhood, so it feels more like a home than a sterile office. We have files stacked up on the tables and photos of old events pinned to the walls. Safdarjung is a nice place to work from, even if parking is a total headache for anyone who comes to see us. We spend a lot of time on the phone talking to tent suppliers and caterers. It’s not all glamorous like people think. Most of it is just making lists and checking them three times so we don't forget the spoons or the lighting cables. We don't have a big fancy sign outside, just a small one near the door. Usually, we are out at different sites anyway, so the office is just where we store the boxes and do the boring paperwork. We’ve been doing this for a while now, just helping people get their parties and meetings sorted without too much fuss. We don't use those corporate scripts when we talk to people. If something is going to be late or if a color isn't available, we just tell you. It’s better to be honest about how things work. Some days the coffee machine is the most important person in the room because the nights get very long.
