You can find Jain Novelty Churi Emporium on the 1st floor at No. 5396/2 in the New Market area, which is right by Teliwari Chowk in Sadar Bazar. If you’ve ever been to Sadar Bazar, you know how packed it gets. Our shop is up a flight of narrow stairs, away from the main noise of the street, but it’s still pretty lively. We sell glass and metal bangles, or churis as we call them. We have rows and rows of boxes filled with every color you can think of. It’s a bit of a maze inside because we try to fit as much stock as possible on the shelves. Sometimes the glass bangles break, so you have to be careful where you step. It’s not a fancy place with mirrors everywhere. We just have simple lights and wooden counters. Customers usually come in groups, and things can get quite loud when everyone is trying on different sets. We don't have a mission statement or anything like that. We just try to keep a good variety so people can find what they need for weddings or festivals. My uncle started this place a long time ago, and we’ve just stayed here. It’s a lot of work keeping track of all the small items, but we enjoy the daily routine of the market. It’s a local spot for people who know where to look in the market.
