Natraj Bangles

If you walk into Sadar Bazar and head towards Swadeshi Market, you will find us at No. 32-g. It is a small space, but it is packed from floor to ceiling with boxes. We sell all kinds of bangles, mostly glass and metal ones that catch the light when the sun hits the shop front. Sadar Bazar is never quiet, so we are used to the shouting of hawkers and the constant pushing of the crowds outside. Inside the shop, it is a bit more peaceful, though we are always busy unpacking new cartons or showing different designs to the ladies who stop by. We have been doing this for a long time now. The shelves are a bit old and sometimes the glass on the counters gets a little smudged, but we try to keep things organized. It is hard to keep track of every single color and size we have in stock because there are just so many. We do not have a big team, just a couple of us who know where everything is kept. Most of our customers are regulars who have been coming to us for years. We don't use any fancy computers to track things; we mostly just remember or write it down in a thick register. It is a traditional way of working, but it works for us. By the time we close up, our hands are usually a bit tired from handling the small boxes.
