Modern Bangles Store

Sadar Bazar is always a mess, and we are right in the middle of it at Shiv Market. Our shop is Modern Bangles Store, specifically at 5241/15. If you've ever been to this part of Delhi, you know how it is. You can barely walk without bumping into someone. We spend our days surrounded by boxes of bangles, mostly the Charu brand ones. The colors are everywhere, but the floor is usually covered in bits of packing paper. It’s a small shop, like most of them in Shiv Market. You have to be careful where you step. We don't really have a fancy display, just shelves that go all the way to the ceiling. It gets really hot in the summer, and we just have one old fan that makes a lot of noise. People come in looking for specific things, and we have to hunt through the stacks to find them. It’s a bit of a puzzle every day. We’ve been here long enough that we know all the other shopkeepers. We share tea and complain about the traffic together. It’s a hard way to make a living sometimes because it’s so crowded and loud, but it’s what we know. Modern Bangles Store isn't anything special to look at from the outside, but we’ve got plenty of stock squeezed in there. It’s just how Sadar Bazar works. Every day is different but the noise is always the same.
