Bhatia Bag House

Bhatia Bag House is over at No. 5427 in the New Market area. It's a busy place, especially on the weekends when everyone is out shopping for the week. We’ve been in this spot for quite a long time. The shelves are usually packed high with all sorts of things. Sometimes it’s a bit of a squeeze to get through the aisles, but that’s just part of the charm of an old market shop. We don’t have any of those modern glass displays or shiny lights. It's more about having what people need when they walk in from the street. My uncle started this place, and I’ve been helping out since I was a kid. You see a lot of different faces every day in New Market. Some people just come in to say hello and look around. We don’t mind that. It’s good to have a chat and hear the local news. We aren't trying to be the biggest shop on the block. We just want to keep things going and make sure we have enough stock for the regulars. The lighting inside is a bit dim in the corners, but we know exactly where everything is kept. It’s a bit of a jumble, but it’s our jumble and it works for us. Bhatia Bag House is just a simple family-run spot. We don’t use any big words or fancy promises. We just open the doors in the morning and wait for the customers.
