R. D. Traders

You can find R. D. Traders over at No. 5147 in Rui Mandi. We are right in the heart of Sadar Bazar, which means it’s always a bit of a madhouse outside our door from morning till night. The street is narrow and filled with carts, rickshaws, and people all day long. We have a small shop floor where we keep our items piled up high. It’s not the kind of place where you’ll find fancy displays, glass cases, or air conditioning. We just have our goods and a couple of old stools for when we need to sit down for a minute. Most of the day is spent talking to customers and making sure the orders are packed right in the brown paper. It gets pretty dusty with all the activity in the market, so we are always cleaning off the counters. We know the neighbors well and we often share news over the low walls of the stalls while we wait for the rush. Sometimes deliveries get delayed because the traffic in the lanes is so bad, but we just deal with it as it comes. It’s an old way of doing business, but it works for us. We don't have a big staff, just a few hands to help move the heavy stuff. It’s a lot of hard work and long hours, especially during the festival seasons when everyone is buying. We just keep our heads down and keep the business going one day at a time without any fuss.
