If you find yourself in the Sadar Bazaar area, specifically near the Bartan Market, you might come across us at No. 551/3 Katra Mithan Lal. We are right in the middle of the Wool Market. It is a very crowded part of town. There are always people pushing carts and shouting to get through the narrow lanes. Our shop is full of trunks of all sizes. Metal ones, mostly. They are stacked on top of each other, making it feel a bit like a maze inside. We have been in this spot for years and the neighborhood hasn't changed much, just gotten busier. The sound of metal hitting metal is common as we move things around or make small repairs. We don't have a computer or anything like that. We use an old ledger to keep track of what comes and goes. The lighting is a bit yellow and the air is thick with the smell of old metal and dust. Customers come in looking for something sturdy to store their belongings in. Sometimes they bargain for a long time over the price. We are used to that. It is just the way business happens in Sadar Bazaar. We sit on small stools by the entrance when it is quiet and watch the world go by outside. It is a hectic place but it is where we belong. We just take it as it comes every single day.
