Sachdeva Brothers

Our shop is in Swadeshi Market which is inside the main Sadar Bazaar area. If you know Sadar Bazaar, you know how crazy it gets. Sachdeva Brothers has been here since my grandfather’s time. We sell all sorts of things wholesale. It is mostly small household goods and some plastic items. The market is always packed with people and carts. Our shop is quite small but we cram a lot of stock inside. We have shelves going all the way up. My brother handles the accounts and I talk to the customers who come from out of town. We are always shouting over the noise of the street. It is a bit chaotic but we like it. We open early because the trucks come at sunrise. By noon, you can barely move in the lane. We don't use any fancy computer systems for inventory. We just know what is in which box based on the markings. Sometimes a box falls over and we have to reorganize everything. That’s just part of the day. We have a small stool for customers to sit on if they are buying a lot. Most of our business is from people who have been buying from us for twenty years. We don't need to do much marketing. The name Sachdeva Brothers is well known in this specific lane. We just keep the shop running and help everyone find what they need.
