Our office for Rural Water Supply And Sanitation is tucked away in Kalu Sarai, Delhi. If you know Delhi, you know Kalu Sarai is famous for being a hub of students and coaching centers, so the streets are always packed with people. We operate from a small space here, and it’s quite a contrast to the rural areas we actually serve. Most of our day is spent dealing with the administrative side of water projects. We have stacks of files regarding sanitation audits and water distribution plans for various regions. It’s a bit of a tight squeeze in the office sometimes, especially when we have visitors from out of town or contractors stopping by. We don't have any flashy signage or a big advertising budget. We just focus on the task of getting clean water to where it is needed most. The atmosphere in Kalu Sarai is very energetic, but inside our office, we try to keep things focused on the engineering and logistics side of things. It’s a lot of work to manage these supplies across different sectors, and we are just a small team doing our part. We don't spend time on fancy speeches or corporate goals. We just look at the maps, check the reports, and try to make sure the projects stay on track despite the usual delays you get in a big city like Delhi. It’s a busy life here in the city.
