Our place is at B/26, Krishna Park, right here in New Delhi 62. The name Rose Valley Real Estate & Cjonstructjion Ltd might have a typo in the old records, but we just call it the office. Real estate and construction are what we spend our hours on. It’s a lot of looking at plans, talking to contractors, and trying to get things built without too many delays. New Delhi is a tough place for construction because there are so many rules and the weather is rarely on your side. In the summer, it’s too hot to be outside, and in the monsoon, everything turns to mud. We spend a lot of time on the phone or driving between different sites. Our office in Krishna Park is where we keep all the maps and the dusty files. It’s not a shiny corporate headquarters. There are usually a couple of motorbikes parked out front and the sound of the neighborhood in the background. We don't use much marketing talk because either a building gets finished or it doesn't. We try to be honest about how long things take, even if people don't always like to hear it. It’s a small team, and we’ve all known each other for years. We eat lunch together and complain about the Delhi heat. We aren't trying to change the world; we are just trying to build things that stay up. That’s about it for us. It’s just how we live.
