If you find yourself in Patiala, you might come across our place in S.S.S.T Nagar. We are at number 1116, which is a fairly quiet part of town compared to the main markets. The Rkkr Group - Sbq team works out of here every day, except for Sundays when most of us are home with family. Punjab has these long winters where we all wear thick sweaters inside the office, and then the summers are just the opposite. We have a small setup here, nothing that would impress a big city executive, but it serves us just fine. There are usually a few motorbikes parked out front and the sound of the neighborhood waking up in the morning. We spend most of our time on the computers or talking to people on the phone. It is a lot of coordinating and making sure everything is where it should be. Sometimes we have tea brought in from the shop around the corner, which helps when we have a lot to do. The walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, but we are more focused on the work than how the room looks. Being in Patiala means we see a lot of the same faces, and we like that. It is a steady rhythm of work and life in a place we know inside and out. We just try to get the work done right without any unnecessary fuss or complicated systems.
