Revanta Welfare Society

Revanta Welfare Society is based in Netaji Subhash Place, inside office 1003. Being up on the tenth floor gives us a bit of a view of the city, which is nice. We are a group that focuses on housing and helping people get together for better living spaces. It’s not a corporate firm; it’s more of a collective effort. We spend a lot of time in meetings, discussing how to manage the funds and the land we are working with. The office is usually full of members dropping by to check on the progress of their future homes. We have a lot of files and maps spread out. Netaji Subhash Place is a very busy hub, so there is always a lot of movement downstairs. We try to keep things transparent. If there is a delay in a project, we just tell people. We don't like using complicated language or making big promises. Most of us here have regular jobs and do this as part of the society. We want to make sure the buildings we plan actually get finished correctly. It’s a lot of coordination with different departments and builders. Sometimes it’s stressful, but we want to see these buildings get finished for everyone. We keep our coffee pot going and stay late many nights to finish the paperwork. If you come to 1003, you’ll find a group of regular people trying to build something good together for the long term.
