Retired From Govt. Service

I've spent most of my life working for the government and now I'm finally settled here at B-193 in Priyadarshni Vihar. Delhi has changed a lot since I first started my job years ago. Life used to be all about files, meetings, and strict deadlines but things are much slower now. I mostly spend my mornings walking around the neighborhood and talking to the people who have lived here as long as I have. This place is home to me and my family. We’ve seen the streets get busier and the shops change hands many times over. My house is just a regular spot where I keep busy with small things that I never had time for before. Sometimes I help out neighbors with paperwork because that’s what I know how to do best after all those years in service. It’s not a big business or anything like that. It is just me sitting at my desk keeping things organized for whoever needs a bit of help. I like being useful even if I'm not officially on the clock anymore. The air in Delhi-92 can be a bit heavy some days but the community here keeps things going. I usually keep my gate open during the day so people can drop by if they need to chat or ask about something. Retirement isn't about doing nothing for me. It is just about doing things at my own pace without a boss watching over my shoulder all the time. That is how we do things here.
