We sit on the upper ground floor over here in Patparganj, right behind the Jain temple. It’s usually pretty quiet until the morning traffic starts picking up on the main road. Most days, we’re just sorting through fire safety equipment, checking extinguishers, and making sure the paperwork for various inspections is in order. It’s not the most glamorous job, but someone has to do it. The office is a bit cramped with all the gear sitting around, especially the big hoses and the metal cabinets we have to keep organized. We’ve been at this address for a while now, and everyone in the building knows us. Sometimes the heat in New Delhi gets a bit much, but the fans keep things moving. We spend a lot of time on the phone talking to vendors or coordinating with technicians who are out at different sites. It’s a lot of back and forth. Usually, someone is running out to get tea or picking up a snack from the nearby stalls. We don’t really do fancy meetings or anything like that. We just focus on getting the fire protection stuff delivered where it needs to go. If you’re looking for the place, just find the temple and walk around to the back entrance. The signs are a bit faded, but we are there. It’s a practical setup, nothing more, nothing less. We just keep our heads down and get the work done.
