RAPID EXPORTS

Rapid Exports operates out of B-56 in the Sangam Apartments in Rohini Sector-9. It’s more of a home-office setup than a big warehouse. We spend most of our time on the phone or on the computer dealing with shipping schedules and customs stuff. Because we are in an apartment block, it’s fairly quiet compared to an industrial zone. We handle different kinds of goods that need to go overseas. There’s always a lot of paperwork piled up on the desks and it gets a bit disorganized. Sometimes the courier guys have a hard time finding the right block in Sangam Apartments, so we have to go down and meet them at the gate. We’ve been in Rohini for years and it’s a good place to work from. We don't have a showroom or anything for people to look at. It’s mainly just us coordinating between the suppliers and the buyers. Lunch is usually whatever someone brought from home or something quick from the local market nearby. We keep track of everything in old-fashioned ledgers and some spreadsheets. It gets hectic when a deadline for a shipment is coming up, but mostly it’s a steady rhythm. We just focus on making sure the boxes get where they are supposed to go without too much trouble. It's just a regular business day for us here. We keep our heads down and get the exporting done as it comes.
