Safdarjung Enclave is a really busy part of New Delhi, and that is where we are based. Our office is actually an old house, number 273 in Arjun Nagar. We turned the rooms into office spaces a few years ago. It still feels like a home in some ways, with narrow hallways and small rooms that used to be bedrooms. Now those rooms are packed with filing cabinets, old desks, and stacks of paper. Delhi is always loud, so there is a constant sound of horns and people outside our windows. We do mercantile work, which involves a lot of trading and keeping track of various shipments. There are documents everywhere you look. We try to keep them in order, but when things get busy, the stacks just grow taller. We have a tiny kitchen where we make tea for anyone who drops by. It is not a corporate setup at all. There is no lobby or security guard. You just walk up to the door and knock. We know all the people who live on our street, and sometimes we have to move our bikes so a neighbor can get their car out. The office is a bit dark because the buildings are so close together, but we like it here. It is central, and we can get to most parts of the city without too much trouble. We just focus on the trade deals.
