Our place is Building No. 79 in Block B of Sector 24. Wazirpur is a very busy industrial area, and it can be quite a struggle just to navigate past all the trucks in the morning. We are situated right near the Provident Fund building, which helps people find us since the lanes around here all look pretty much the same. We deal with the sales of various industrial parts and metal materials. The floor of the shop is usually covered in a thin layer of dust from the nearby factories, and we are constantly having to wipe down the glass counters. It is a very no-nonsense kind of environment. We have a few staff members who have been working with us since we first opened the doors. We drink a lot of tea and spend time discussing the current market prices. Sometimes the neighbor's machinery is so loud that we actually have to shout just to hear each other speak. We do not have a big reception area or any soft chairs for people to sit in. You just walk in and talk to whoever happens to be at the main desk at that moment. We handle a lot of loading and unloading of goods throughout the day. The paperwork is mostly hand-written in big blue registers because that is how we have always done it. Wazirpur is a tough place to work, but it is home.
