This office is actually a house, number 841/A in Sector 21 of Gurgaon. It’s a bit different from the big glass towers you see in the newer parts of the city, but it suits us just fine. Psu has been using this space for quite some time now. Being in a residential sector means it’s a bit quieter than being right on the main highway, though Gurgaon is never truly quiet with all the construction going on nearby. We have turned the main rooms into workspace. There’s a lot of paper around, and we try our best to keep it organized, but sometimes it gets a bit messy when we are busy. We usually have the gate closed, and people just knock when they arrive. It feels more personal working out of a house. We don’t have a canteen, so we usually bring our own tiffins and eat together in the kitchen area. It’s a short commute for those of us living in this part of Haryana, which is a big plus given how bad the traffic can get. The power goes out every now and then, but we have a backup to keep the computers running so we don't lose any work. It’s a straightforward, no-nonsense kind of place. We aren't trying to impress anyone with the decor; we just focus on getting the daily tasks completed and making sure the records are kept straight so we can go home on time.
