PROFESSIONAL FOR PLANNING ARCHITECTURE AND LANDSCAPE

Our office is over in L-26H Shiekserai-Ii. It is a quiet enough corner of New Delhi compared to the main roads you usually see. We spend most of our time looking at site plans and trying to figure out where the trees should go versus where the concrete has to be. Dealing with landscape and architecture at the same time means there is always a lot of back and forth in the drawings. Some days we are just sitting here with scales and pencils, and other days we are out looking at patches of dirt on a new site. The space here is full of folders and old binders from projects we finished years ago. It is not a polished setup, just a working office with desks and computers that hum all day long. Shiekserai has its own rhythm, and we have gotten used to the local tea stalls and the way the sun hits the windows in the late afternoon. We do not really use big words for what we do. It is just planning and drawing. We have to be careful with the measurements because one mistake on paper causes a mess later on when the builders start. People come in with ideas for their land, and we try to put those ideas into something that actually works on the ground. It takes time, and there is a lot of waiting for things to move forward.
