Sk Nasir Ali Boutique

We’ve got our little boutique set up right at house number 261/354. It’s more of a home-based thing than a big store. You just walk up and you’ll see us working away. It’s usually me and one other person sitting at the machines. We deal with a lot of local requests, people bringing in their own fabric or asking for something specific for a family party. The room we work in gets a lot of sun in the morning, which helps with the sewing. There’s always thread everywhere, no matter how much we sweep. It’s not a fancy showroom with glass windows or anything like that. Just a couple of chairs for people to sit while we measure them. Sometimes the neighborhood kids play right outside the door, so it can get a bit noisy in the evenings. We try to keep things organized but when there are ten different suits to finish, the table gets buried. It’s been our spot for a few years now. Most people find us through word of mouth. We don’t do much advertising. We just like to keep busy and finish the work on time. Sometimes we stay late when a big holiday is coming up. It’s just a normal way to earn a living, making clothes that people feel comfortable wearing. Nothing more to it than that, really. There is always a lot to do but we take it one day at a time.
