Our shop is right near the Preet Vihar Metro Station, so it’s always loud outside. Street No. 1 is narrow and if a car parks wrong, nobody can get through. We’ve been at D-3 South Anarkali for a long time. It’s a small space, packed with boxes from floor to ceiling. Sometimes we have to move three things just to find one small item at the back. It’s just how we work. The tea stall around the corner is where we spend most of our breaks when it isn't too busy. People stop by on their way home from the station, asking for this or that. We don't have a big fancy showroom or anything like that. Just some shelves and a desk that’s seen better days. The door sticks a little when it rains, so you have to give it a good push to get inside. It gets dusty because of all the traffic, so we spend a lot of time wiping things down. Most of the people who come here are regulars who live nearby. We know their names and what they usually need. It's a bit cramped, and the lighting could be better, but it works for what we do. We open up early and stay until the metro starts getting quiet at night. It’s a decent life, even with all the noise from the trains overhead. We just keep things moving as best as we can every day.
