Shilpa Store

Shilpa Store is way up on the second floor at No. 2858 Jain Estate, right in Pratap Market. If you’re walking down Gali Peti Wali in Sadar Bazar, you’ve probably passed by us without even realizing it. Sadar Bazar is a huge place and it’s always packed, so we’re just one small part of that madness. We’ve been operating from this little spot for quite some time now. It’s a bit of a climb up to the second floor, especially when we’re carrying stock, but we’re used to it. Our shop isn't very big, and every inch is filled with goods. We don't have a marketing team or any of those modern business things. We just open the shutters in the morning and wait for our regulars to show up. Most of the people who buy from us have been coming here for years, and we know them by name. It’s an old-fashioned way of doing business, but it works for us. The building is old and the stairs are narrow, but it has character. We deal with all kinds of items depending on the season and what people are asking for. It’s not a polished showroom, just a practical shop where things get done. We don't try to be something we’re not. We just sell our goods, talk to our neighbors, and go home at the end of the day.
