Our office is over in Wz-69, Chaukhandi Extension. It’s near Ganga Ram Vatika in Tilak Nagar. If you know that area, you know it’s always busy. We do building work and engineering. Mostly we are out at sites, but this is where we keep the papers and meet. It’s a regular Delhi neighborhood. Narrow streets and lots of neighbors. We’ve got blueprints all over the desks. Sometimes they get coffee stains on them. We don't mind. We are builders, not poets. The phone rings a lot with guys asking about cement or steel. We deal with the local permits and the small details that come with construction. It’s a bit of a squeeze in the office sometimes. Tilak Nagar has a lot of energy. We’ve worked on a bunch of projects around New Delhi-18. People around here know the name. We aren't trying to be the biggest. We just want to finish the current floor and move to the next. The engineering side means we have to be careful with the math. Mistakes cost money. So we double check things. It’s a lot of coordination. Getting the labor and the materials to the same place at the right time is the main thing. It’s a headache sometimes but we like it. The walls are thin so we hear everything outside. But that is just how it is in this part of town. We just take it day by day.
