Om Shiv Industries

We are located at No. 198 in the Patparganj Industrial Area. It’s a busy spot not too far from the Anand Vihar ISBT, so we see a lot of buses and trucks passing by all the time. Om Shiv Industries is basically a workshop where we get our hands dirty every single day. The floor is usually covered in a bit of oil or metal shavings depending on what we are working on. We have a few machines running that make a fair amount of noise, so we have to shout a bit to be heard. It is not the kind of place where you would wear a nice suit. We wear heavy clothes and boots because that is what the job requires. Lunchtime is usually spent sitting on some crates outside just to get a bit of fresh air. We have been in this unit for several years and the walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, but we are too busy to get around to it. Most of our time goes into making sure the production stays on schedule. We check the parts by hand to make sure they are right. It’s practical work and we take it seriously even if the office is just a small corner with a wooden desk and an old calendar. We stay until the day's quota is met, which sometimes means working late into the evening.
