Our unit is located out in the Patparganj Industrial Area, specifically at Plot No. 183. Being near the Anand Vihar Bus Terminal means there is always a lot of movement nearby, and the dust from the road usually finds its way inside no matter how much we sweep. We handle clothing production here, so the sound of machines is pretty much the background noise of our lives. It’s a bit of a maze inside with all the fabric rolls and cutting tables taking up most of the floor space. We aren't really set up for visitors to come sit down and have tea, as every corner is filled with something related to the garments we’re making. The team stays busy with the stitching and checking the quality of the seams before things get packed into boxes. Some days are longer than others, especially when a big order needs to go out by Friday. We have a small office area, but mostly we are out on the floor making sure things are moving along. It’s hard work, and the summer heat in an industrial plot is no joke, but we’ve gotten used to it over the years. We just focus on getting the clothes finished and out the door to wherever they need to go next. It’s a plain operation at Kalp Clothing, just people and machines doing their thing every day.
