Parkash Enterprises

It is just a regular day here at Parkash Enterprises. We have been sitting in this spot at 244/26-C in the Harichand Building for quite a while now. Shivaji Gali is usually pretty busy with people walking past or scooters trying to get through the narrow parts. You know how Ghondli and Pandit Park can get during the rush hours. It is noisy and sometimes the dust gets in, but it’s home for us. We just keep our heads down and do the work that needs doing. There isn't anything fancy about the office. It has got some old chairs and a lot of papers stacked up on the wooden desks. My cousin usually helps out with the inventory when things get backed up. We try to keep things simple because that is how we like it. Most of the people who stop by are locals or folks who have known us for years. They know exactly where the turn is in the alley to find our door. We do not have a big neon sign or anything like that. Just the name painted near the entrance. Sometimes the tea stall guy comes by with some chai and we take a break for ten minutes. Then it is back to the ledgers and the phones. It is a quiet life in a loud neighborhood, honestly. We aren't trying to change the world, just making sure the orders go out and the bills get paid. That is really all there is to it.
