Good Will

We've been here at Vardhman City in Palam for a while now. Most days it’s just the usual routine. We open up the shutters, sweep the front, and get ready for whoever walks in. It’s a busy area, especially in the evenings when families come out to shop. Good Will is just a small place, nothing fancy. We try to keep things organized on the shelves, but sometimes when it gets crowded, it’s a bit of a mess. My uncle started this, and now we just keep it going. Palam is a noisy place with the planes overhead, but you get used to it. We deal with all sorts of people. Some are in a hurry, others want to talk for an hour. We just handle the stock and make sure the accounts are right at the end of the day. The lights inside are a bit bright, but they show the products well. It gets dusty because of the road work nearby, so we spend a lot of time cleaning. It's not the easiest work, standing all day, but it’s what we do. We know the other shopkeepers around here too. We have tea together when it's quiet. That’s how it goes. There are plenty of other shops in this complex, but we just stay in our corner and do our thing. We don't use much technology besides the basic billing machine. It keeps things uncomplicated for us. We just want to finish our work and go home to our families.
