Shubh Laabh International

Our place is at 5226 on the 1st Floor in Shora Kothi. It’s right in the middle of Pahar Ganj. Working for Shubh Laabh International from here means dealing with the chaos of the market every single day. The stairs up to the first floor are a bit narrow and steep, so you have to watch your step when you’re carrying boxes or files. Pahar Ganj is a place that never really sleeps, so there’s always noise coming up from the street. We handle a lot of international stuff, but our office feels very local. There are papers everywhere and the fans are always spinning to keep the heat away. We have been in this building for quite some time now. The walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, but we never seem to get around to it because we stay so busy. We spend our hours checking shipments and talking to people on the phone. Sometimes the power goes out and we just have to sit and wait it out. It’s not the kind of place where you’ll find fancy furniture or expensive rugs. We just have what we need to get the job done. The chai wallah downstairs knows exactly how we like our tea and brings it up twice a day. We mostly just focus on moving things from one place to another without making too much of a mess. It’s a busy life here in Shora Kothi.
