Osum Fab

Our place, Osum Fab, is located over at E3/222 in Sultanpuri. If you know the area, you know it is mostly narrow lanes and a lot of small shops squeezed together. We deal with fabrics and textiles right here in this building. The ground floor is usually filled with rolls of cloth that we have to move around constantly just to make space to walk. It is a bit of a workout every single morning. The machines make a lot of noise, so you have to talk pretty loud if you want to be heard over the clicking and humming. We have a few tailors and cutters who have been with us for years, and they just do their thing while the radio plays in the background. It is not a shiny showroom or anything like that. There is dust from the cotton everywhere, and the lights are those long tube lights that flicker sometimes. We get a lot of local orders, and sometimes people from other parts of Delhi come by if they heard about us from a friend. We spend a lot of time checking the stitching and making sure the colors are what the customer asked for. It is tiring work, and our backs usually ache by five o'clock, but we stay until the last order is packed up and ready to go out the door.
