Shivani Woollen Wears

We've been at this spot in the Old Double Story building for a while now. It's on the second floor at K-64. Most days it's just us handling the sweaters and winter clothes. It gets really busy when the weather turns cold. We started small and stayed that way, just focusing on getting the knitting right. People find us by climbing up the stairs. It’s not a fancy showroom or anything like that. Just some racks of woolen stuff and a few machines. We spend most of our time checking the threads and making sure the sizing is okay. Sometimes the lights flicker but we keep working anyway. My uncle started this and now I help out. We know most of the people around here. It's a crowded area but we like it. The 2nd floor gives us a bit of a view of the street below when we take a break. We don't do much advertising. Mostly it's just locals who know where to find us for their winter gear. We pack things up ourselves and keep the inventory moving. It's simple work but it keeps us busy throughout the year even when it's warm because we have to prep for the next season. The space is a bit tight with all the yarn boxes everywhere. We just keep our heads down and get the work done.
