We've been here in Dariba Kalan for a while now. It's always crowded, especially being so close to the Red Fort. If you know Chandni Chowk, you know how it gets. Nav Durga Electricals is just a small spot at number 287, but we stay busy. Mostly it’s just us handling wires, switches, and whatever else people need for their houses or shops. Some days the traffic is so bad it takes forever just to get supplies in, but that is just how life is in this part of Delhi. We don't have a fancy office or anything like that. It is just a regular shop with stuff stacked up. My cousin helps out sometimes when it gets too much for one person. We start early because the heat gets pretty bad by noon. People stop by for all sorts of things, sometimes just to ask for directions since we're a landmark of sorts. We try to keep the shop organized, though it's hard with so many little parts and boxes everywhere. It is a lot of work keeping up with everything. There’s always someone coming in looking for a specific bulb or a wire they can’t find anywhere else. We just do what we can and hope the power doesn't go out too often while we're working. It’s a good spot to be, right in the heart of everything. We spend a lot of time just chatting with the other shopkeepers around here when things get quiet. It’s a community.
