Oikos Paints

Our small office for Oikos Paints is located in the DDU Hospital Complex, specifically at B-6/21 in Harinagar. Being near a big hospital means there’s always a lot of movement and people around the area. It’s a busy part of town, and we’ve been here for a good while now. We don't have a big storefront with neon signs. Instead, we have a simple room where we keep our records and some of our paint samples. People often get lost trying to find us within the complex, so we spend some time giving directions over the phone. The office itself is pretty basic—just some desks, chairs, and a lot of color charts. We spend our days talking to contractors and homeowners who want to change the look of their places. It’s not glamorous work, but it keeps us busy. The smells of the city and the hospital cafeteria sometimes drift in through the window. We have a small kettle for making tea, and that’s about as fancy as it gets here. Sometimes we have to move boxes around to make room for people to sit. It’s a bit cramped, but it works for what we need to do. We focus on getting the right colors to the right people. Parking can be a bit of a nightmare around Harinagar, so we usually tell people to come by rickshaw if they can. Our little spot in B-6/21 is home to us now, even with all the bustle.
