Northwest Power Construction Group Corporation

The office for Northwest Power Construction Group Corporation is tucked away in Shastri Park, specifically at 45/2 in the Nathupura area of Burari. It’s not the easiest place to find if you aren't from this part of North Delhi, but we’ve been here long enough that most of the local rickshaw drivers know the spot. The building is pretty basic and fits in with everything else on the street. Inside, it’s mostly just desks, some old filing cabinets that probably need replacing, and a lot of printed site plans rolled up in corners. Since we deal with construction stuff, there’s always a bit of dust around no matter how much we clean, and someone is usually wearing heavy boots. We spend half the day out on various sites and the other half back here trying to catch up on the paperwork side of things. It’s loud in Burari, with all the bikes and trucks moving through the narrow lanes, so we usually keep the windows shut to hear each other talk. We don’t have a big reception desk or fancy art on the walls. It’s just a place where we get the planning done and manage the crews. Sometimes we stay late when a project is moving fast, and the street gets real quiet then. It’s a practical space for a practical kind of job, and it works for what we need to do every day.
