If you look for Street 9 in the New Govindpura area of Chandan Nagar, you will find us at D8. We deal in gems and stones right out of this small space. It’s a residential neighborhood mostly, so it’s a bit quieter than the main markets. We like it that way because looking at stones requires some focus. We’ve been here for years, and the neighbors all know us by now. We have various types of stones sitting in small pouches and trays. It isn't a big showroom with bright lights and velvet everywhere. It’s more like a workshop where we spend our time checking the quality of what comes in. Sometimes people bring in stones they found or bought elsewhere to ask us about them. We sit at a wooden desk with a small lamp and just look at the details. My brother and I run the place together. We don't have a website or do much on the internet. People find us by word of mouth or they see our sign on the gate of D8. It’s a modest setup but we have everything we need to do our work properly. Sometimes the street gets a bit narrow when cars park on both sides, but it’s a nice enough place to spend the day. We are usually here from morning until late evening, just taking care of the stones and making sure our customers are happy with what they find.
