New Delhi Media/ELE Times

Our office is at A 159, on the 3rd Floor along Vikas Marg. If you know Delhi, you know how loud and crowded Vikas Marg can get at almost any hour. Being at New Delhi Media and working on ELE Times means we are right in the middle of all that noise. The walk up to the third floor is a good way to wake up in the morning since we don't always use the lift. The space is filled with old newspapers and technical journals that we use for reference. It’s a bit of a maze with all the desks pushed together. We spend our days writing and editing, trying to keep up with everything happening in the industry. Sometimes the power flickers when the weather gets bad, but we just wait it out and get back to work. We usually order in some food from the shops downstairs when we have to stay late to finish an edition. The air in the office smells like ink and coffee most of the time. We aren’t big on corporate talk; we just want to get the facts right and make sure the sentences make sense. The neighborhood has changed a lot since we first moved in, but the 3rd floor stays pretty much the same. It's a simple setup with people who have been working together for a long time. We just keep our heads down and do the writing.
