Our office for Nandini Impex (Pvt.) Ltd. is located at Q-64 in Lajpat Nagar-4. This part of New Delhi is always crowded, which makes for an interesting work environment. We handle the import and export of various goods, which means our desks are usually covered in shipping manifests and customs forms. The room is a bit small for the number of people we have, so we are often bumping into each other. We don't have any of those fancy modern office pods or a gym. It’s just desks, chairs, and a lot of filing cabinets that have seen better days. The power goes out occasionally, and we just sit and wait for the generator to kick in while we chat. Dealing with trade means we are often on the phone with people in different time zones, so someone is usually here early or staying late. We don't use a lot of complicated business talk. We just focus on getting the crates from the port to the customer without too much trouble. Sometimes the shipments get delayed and we have to spend the whole afternoon tracking them down. It’s a bit of a grind, but it’s what we do. The local market is just a short walk away, so lunch is always something good from one of the street vendors nearby.
