Jari Saree Centre (india) Pvt. Ltd. is located at No. 4234 in Jogiwara. If you know this area, you know how packed it is. It is right in the middle of a very old part of the city where the lanes are narrow and there are sarees everywhere you look. Our shop is quite old too. We have been here for generations, really. The walls are a bit worn and the floor is uneven in some places, but it’s our home. We have stacks and stacks of sarees reaching all the way to the ceiling. It’s a bit of a maze inside. We don't have fancy lights or mannequins in the window. We just show the fabric to whoever comes in and sits on the floor cushions with us. It’s a very traditional way of doing things. The area is always noisy with the sounds of carts and people shouting, but inside the shop, it feels a bit more peaceful. We deal with all kinds of jari work and traditional designs. We don't have a website or do any social media. People find us because their parents or grandparents bought from us. It is a very simple way to run a business. We don't have any big corporate plans. We just want to keep the tradition going and sell sarees that people like. Sometimes the electricity flickers when the load is high, but we just keep going. It’s just life in Jogiwara.
