Up on the third floor at 60/20 in Old Rajinder Nagar, things stay pretty busy. This is one of the Delhi branches for Nagarjuna Construction Company Limited. Being in India’s capital, we have a lot of ground to cover. The office is a bit old-fashioned, but it works for us. We have desks piled high with site logs and tax documents. It’s the kind of place where you can always hear someone arguing with a supplier on the phone or the sound of a stapler going off. We don’t have a fancy lobby or a receptionist in a suit. Most of the people who come here are looking for work or delivering materials. We handle a lot of the technical drawings here before they go out to the foremen. It’s a lot of eyes-down work. The neighborhood is crowded, and finding the building can be tricky for newcomers. We’ve been in this space for a while, so we’ve settled into a rhythm. We don't bother with marketing fluff. We just focus on the engineering and the labor management. Sometimes we stay late when a big deadline is looming, eating takeout at our desks. It’s not a glamorous life, but there’s a certain satisfaction in seeing a project move from a paper sketch to a real building. We just keep plugging away at it, year after year. The stairs to the third floor are a bit of a workout, but it keeps us moving.
