So we are based in Lajpat Nagar-2, specifically at K-78. If you’ve ever been to this part of Delhi, you know how it gets. It’s always crowded and there’s always something happening right outside the door. Global Apparel Kenya Aez Ltd is the name on the paperwork, but here we just focus on getting the clothes sorted and sent out. The K-78 spot is basically where everything happens. We have the cutting tables and the racks and a lot of fabric just sitting around waiting. It’s not a fancy showroom or anything like that. It’s a working space. Usually, there’s tea being made in the corner and someone is always arguing about where a specific box went. The traffic in Lajpat Nagar can be a real headache, especially when we’re trying to load up a truck in the afternoon. We’ve been in this building for some time and the walls could probably use a new coat of paint, but it works for what we do. Our neighbors are all in the same boat, just trying to get through the day’s orders. We handle a lot of different garments and the variety keeps things interesting, even if the routine is the same. It’s a lot of manual work, checking seams and counting pieces. We don’t have much time for sitting around. It’s just us doing the job every day. People stop by to pick things up and we just keep the workflow going as best we can. It gets a bit chaotic, but we like the pace.
