Munni Lal Jagannath is our family business in Chawri Bazar. We are located at Shop No 3639/11 in Sham Nath Market. This market is quite old and has a lot of history. We’ve been here for a long time, and the shop has been passed down through the family. It’s a small space, like most shops in this area, and every corner is filled with something. We have old shelves that go all the way to the ceiling. Chawri Bazar is a place where you have to move fast or you’ll get pushed aside by the crowds. Our shop is a bit of a sanctuary from that, even if it’s small. We don’t use any modern marketing or have a social media page. We rely on the people who have known our family for decades. We still use a lot of the old ways of doing business, like hand-written receipts and personal conversations. We know our customers by name and they know ours. It’s a very traditional way of working. The market can be very loud and the air is often thick with the smell of street food and old paper. We are comfortable here. We open the shop in the morning, talk to our neighbors, and handle our business until it’s time to go home. It’s not a complicated life, but it’s ours and we are proud of the history we have in Sham Nath Market.
